Sub-Publishing
& Sync

Your songs registered, your royalties collected, your catalogue licensed — inside Brazil and across the territories that pay for Brazilian repertoire.

Most Brazilian catalogues lose money abroad for one reason: the work was never registered correctly outside the home territory, or nobody was pitching it. Publishing is an administrative business with a commercial end — we run both sides.

At the centre of it all is the catalogue: recordings, works, metadata, rights and territories in order. Everything else follows from that — you release quickly, get paid correctly, license abroad without contractual surprises, and take the record on tour, growing a fan base market by market.

Services

Registration, collection,
placement.

Sub-publishing means a publisher in another territory represents your catalogue there: registering works, collecting performance and mechanical income, and licensing uses through partners.

01

Works administration

Registration of works and splits, ISWC control, catalogue audit and correction of titles, writers and shares that are wrong in the systems.

02

Worldwide collection

Performance, mechanical and neighbouring income collected through UK societies — Curve Music UK is a member of PRS, MCPS and PPL — and through partner publishers territory by territory.

03

Sub-publishing deals

Negotiation and administration of sub-publishing agreements with publishers and collecting societies abroad, with the term and territory defined in writing.

04

Sync licensing

Pitching and clearance for film, series, documentaries, trailers, advertising, games, branded content and in-store.

05

Catalogue strategy

Which songs to lead with in each territory, which versions to offer, and how to position Brazilian repertoire where it is still rare — Europe and Asia above all.

06

Statements & transparency

Periodic statements by source and territory, with the split applied line by line as agreed in contract.

Territories

to where it pays.

BR Direct administration, work registration and collection in the home market.
EU · UK Sub-publishing and sync through Curve Music UK, with PRS, MCPS and PPL.
ASIA · US Partner publishers, sync agents and label partners for selected repertoire.

Standard practice: sub-publishing agreements are signed for a defined term and territory, with the copyright remaining with the author and a reversion clause in the contract. Nobody signs away their songs to be represented.

What we need from you: a list of works with writers, shares and society affiliation, plus the recordings' ISRCs — so that the song and the recording can be licensed together when a sync comes.

Publishing enquiry   Sync enquiry

Clearing a sync needs two permissions: the composition (publishing) and the recording (master). We handle both sides for catalogues we represent, which shortens approval from weeks to days.

Sync

Brazilian repertoire
is underexploited.

In markets where Brazilian music is still a niche on screen, a well-known catalogue in Brazil can be new material for a director. Anna Setton’s repertoire — Brazilian jazz, samba, bossa nova, sung in Portuguese and English — has been placed in exactly that gap.

Recordings and works available for licensing worldwide, in open territories and on a one-off basis for specific uses.

Briefing a sync request:

  • Project, territory and media (film, series, ad, game, trailer, in-store)
  • Usage: term, territories, media and whether exclusivity is required
  • Budget for master and publishing
  • Date the material is needed — including stems, instrumental or clean versions
